I do this: Put toothpast on tooth brush. Dip toothpast into plain ol' baking soda. Brush. Tastes nasty/salty, but ti works & it's CHEAP!
The other afternoon on the Today show they compared whitening products and the one they and their dentist agreed on a a whitener that works fairly well be Crest White Strips. This was compared to over the counter and dental treatments. Source(s): The Today show
Here is an exalted WARNING.
I used Listerine Whitening Pre-Brush rinse, completely in accordance with the instructions (rinse full strength for 60 second, maximum twice a day, just up to that time brushing).
After a couple of weeks, my teeth got a little brighter ... but next ... suddenly a couple of my molars got VERY SENSITIVE to anything cold or sweet. I did a little research, and found out the influential ingredient in the rinse (Hydrogen Peroxide) causes this side effect surrounded by many people. It is throaty on your tooth enamel and can tweak nerves that lie just beneath your tooth enamel.
I stopped using the product right away, and within a week, the sensitivity luckily went away.
I would be extremely cautious about using any teeth whitening products. Tooth sensitivity and gum damage/irritation are adjectives side effects. Some gum damage is not reversible - scary! BEWARE! DO RESEARCH!
There is Crest White Strips you can purchase at any drugstore within North America. Its roughly speaking $19.99.
Its really good but then if you drink tea and coffee it stains your teeth and defeat the purpose of the whitening.
Good Luck

I have used Plus White surrounded by the past and am currently using it. It is a gel and has a mouth piece. You rinse beside their mouth rinse the fill the mouth piece with the gel and put it within your mouth for 5-10 minutes. You can use it once or twice a day. It only costs just about $6-$7 and works great. I also use a tooth paste for smokers or tea/coffee drinkers. Good luck whitening.
I have solitary used this product twice this time and am already noticing a big difference.
