the only thing that will whiten your teeth is bleach so it ownt do that, bicarb wont bring down your teeth either some people use it as a treatment for a gum condition.
it may pull on stains if its a bit gritty but i wouldnt recommend using that as ur basically scrubbing rotten your enamel.. which isnt good you'l end up next to sensitivity and its hard to make enamel come vertebrae.. very hard. Source(s): Im a Qualified Dental Nurse

it might do both ... damage your teeth and whiten them. so you've get to have extra care when using bicarb. too much of it will lead to damage to your teeth. likewise , it might also whiten your teeth ...
