Do store-bought teeth whiteners really work?

I'm wondering if I should get my teeth whitened at the dentist's or save a great deal of money and buy a whitener at the store. Some advice based on experience?
Answers:
As long as you don't have severe stains, the over the counter products are great. I used Crest White Strips 2 months beforehand my wedding, and my teeth were immaculate. I didn't have any problems at all.

Good luck!
They work great! Of course it's not professional, but do you really want stark white teeth. The store bought whitening products will give you a inborn white white look and it's a heck of a lot cheaper!
The difference between the the dentist's whitening and the store bought stuff is the concentration of the busy ingredient. The store whiteners work well if the staining isn't too severe, but you have to keep watch on out for some sensitivity that might occur afterwards.
I love crest whitestrips premium i also brush twice day by day with crest whitening for 3-5 min brushing for a longer period of time increases your haphazard of brushing aways stains i also rinse daily with whitening mouthwash and floss each day flossing helps dramatically it gets rid of the stains between teeth also try tally a little baking soda to your toothbrush great for removing stains its been 5 days for me and my teeth look deeply white!! a good 4 shades whiter and im not through with the strps however!! i dont know about you or where you live but i get a gift set of whitestrips mouthwash and toothpaste all for $25 whitestrips alone are generally $30-35 great deal i got it at wal mart Good luck and lay past its sell-by date the smoking sodas teas and any beverage really stick with water even 100% liquid cause teeth staining if you do drink drink some water afterwards to rinse your teeth
Keep up next to the brushing and flossing and the whitening will last you a good year Source(s): ps that stuff you put on beside a brush the night effect stuff sucks i still have some surrounded by the cupboard it peels of in your mouth and doesnt walk on teeth very easily
yes yes yes!

i bought crest night whatever stuff. you brush it on at darkness and when u wake up you wipe it off next brush your teeth. after 14 days your teeth are noticably whiter! and it only costs liek $13 if you take any guidance take this ! haha i promise it works!
I've used Crest Whitestrips Premium Plus and they worked pretty well. They didn't stay on exceedingly good so that was annoying, and the bite was awful, but they did whiten my teeth.

If you're thinking of buying something like that, I'd suggest Aquafresh Whitening Trays. They stay on better, for this reason whitening better, and quicker.

Good luck!
I used the Crest whitening strips. They worked wonderfully for me. They had lately come out with them when I used them the first time and they were humane of expensive, but I was pretty impressed. About a year later I used them again and get even better results ( I followed the directions a little more closely). Only drawback for me was that they kindly of irritated my gums a little. Made them really sensitive for a little bit right after I used the strips. :( But for me, the results be worth it. :P I had also tried another kind, cannot remember the brand and it be just a big mess. Had to put gel in some mouthpiece and try not to address or move your mouth around much. It was pretty awful, tased bad, and didn't work exceedingly well. Source(s): Been there/done that.
I used Aqua Fresh whitening trays with Crest Vivd white toothpaste and whitening mouthwash concluding summer before graduation. I had minor stains from sodas but nil too dark. It worked well for me, my teeth be pretty white for graduation. I started the trays 3 weeks before (I used the toothpaste and mouthwash about 6 weeks past, they made some difference but not as much) and used the trays every 3 days I think.
Regular Crest Whitestrips.

They work great. My teeth are sparkling white!

Just the regular Crest Whitestrips.

They are the best because my dentist sold them
at the his department! Back when they were $60!
On some people over the counter bleaching is pretty dramatic. It may embezzle longer to see the results but it's alot more affordable. And you really have to be careful because non supervised bleaching can destruction your gums. Then you'll have no choice but to go to the dentist. Source(s): Dental Assistant myself.
