"Summer skin" tanning moisturisers, which one do you recommend?

I tried the Garnier summer body lotion and it was too dark for my skin, I looked disappointingly varnished!

There was something on "This Morning" yesterday more or less them. The best one seemed to be by "St Ives" Its called Renew and Glow or something and it be lb5.99. Results looked fantastic, gave a really good open tan in 2 weeks!
Personally I reflect they are all rubbish. It comes off on your towels and sheets and they never look as honourable as using 'proper' fake tan. Johnsons summer skin is probably the lowest possible offensive but it has a wierd smell.
I have tried Johnsons, Garnier and Piz Buin, but the best one I tried is Superdrugs own make.
Johnsons summer skin,

I've just started using it after frequent doomed attempts with other products,

it takes a few applications but i'm pleased next to the results so far.
I can't bear the porky smell Johnson's gives rotten! I thought Garnier was very dutiful - did you know that they do different shades? I've made that mistake before! Right now I'm using Boots No.7 Naturally Sunkissed. It's deeply light and doesn't smell too weird. The colour is exceptionally subtle too, which may suit you better if Garnier wasn't your cup of tea. I think there's a multibuy deal on No.7 stuff at the moment too! Have fun :)
Dove is supposed to be very good for fiesta skin.
I've tried both Dove and Superdrug's own brand. Dove smells nicer and gives a deeper suntan more quickly. Although it takes longer to build up, the Superdrug one looks a bit more automatic in my opinion (although it doesn't smell too great) and it's cheaper!!
I own very pale skin and I hold been using the Dove 'summer glow' and I love it (the one for fair skin). It give my skin a nice natural looking colour.
Sorry but I own to side with Garnier Summerbody, did you try the light colour?? It is by far the best I hold tried, non greasy, best smelling, good price...
Totally agree beside Misha-non-penguin, Johnsons is probably the best but it has got this "dull" aroma in the order of it, especially in this hot weather as ppl tend to perspire more. It has not here marks on my towels and on my bedclothes and make me conscious of the smell...
If you have tried Garnier and it was too ominous for u, please don't go for the spray tan - I have it done professionally just before going on holiday finishing year with the lightest colour n I was sunny with the instant result, however, the "actual" colour comes out over the next 8 hours - I be so dark going on holiday - I looked very false & I be the only person who get lighter over the holiday instead of darker lol. Its not a moisturiser but Palmer and Cutler do a moose that is Fantastic on pale skin, You can build it up over various days and its really subtle and doesn't go patchy. Also Coppertone has a moisturiser surrounded by it and is also fab. Both can be bought at Boots.
