I quit smoking 3 1/2 days ago and I am havin g a really bleak afternoon today?

I have quit a few times before...once for 4 months. This time I want it to be fixed. But today I am dying for a smoke. The last few times I quit the second and third days were the worst. I can't procure it off my mind no matter what I am doing. Please assistance encourage me some how!

It's categorically hard. My mom quit one time, just woke up and arranged she didn't want to smoke anymore but then started again about 3 years then. Everytime she tries to stop now she has a not easy time but i would really like her to quit...just don't permit it beat you!
Im really proud of you hun, just ponder how much better you will feel when you have kicked the craving for good. The first few days are apparently the hardest, but if you can get through that you can bring back through anything.

I close to jaw breaker candy - they last a long time and you can't only chew right through them :)

DON'T drink coffee or do stuff you usually do when you smoke!! (well, except what ya have ta do ;)

In my case, the urge last 5 - 10 minutes then goes away for a while... if I can end 10 minutes without a cig, I am good for another 10 minutes :)

Tootsie pops and blow pops are great (sugar free is available but rugged to find)... gives you a mouth toy as well as a treat... to be precise all a cigarette is - a mouth toy! OK, there is some addiction near the nicotine, but the physical toy addiction is VERY strong as well...

Go for a quick brisk hike when you get the urge! But not towards or near ANY convenience stores ;) Get rid of your lighter and match... DON'T bum a SINGLE SMOKE from your friends!! That will put you back at square one. One cig and you've BLOWN the whole I want to quit concept for this attempt!

Well, alot of individuals who are trying to smoking find something else to concentrate on. Trying chewing gum, suckers, or candy. (Sugar-free would be best, you'll need alot of it.) Find a hobby to take your mind stale it. Exercise, go to the movies (you can't smoke inside!), call your friends, walk to the park, get a pet you can focus on.

yeah it's definatly tough.this is what i did cleaned the house for 4 hours,played video games for 2hours,painted nails 20minutes,did a crossword puzzle,next went out for a smoke!couldn't handle it.
What help me tremendously next to stopping was tricking myself into believing I would get a cigarette subsequently.. When I got the urge I just told myself I would basically get it in a minute.. I would seize it later and before long subsequent was further and further away... You'd be surprised how you can convince yourself.. Give it a try.
Have you tried any nicotine patches or gum? I quit over 6 years ago, and the patch is the simply thing that really took the "edge" off. You still enjoy the temptation, but it's not as strong.
The desire to smoke will never truly go away. I still crave it from time to time, but it absolutely gets better. Good luck!
