sorry dude but they wouldnt be capable of do anythin .bummer
I guess he could detail you to go see your normal doctor and take some pills! Just go get some pills from the store yourself if you can't sleep! When I get hold of insomnia I take 2 cups of Neo Citran with a shot or two of whiskey! It works for me!!
I construe they would refer you to your regular doctor.
Most of the time they may give you a sleeping pill.. I have insomia as all right.. I have been told to knock out adjectives caffine after 6pm and to avoid smoking as nicotine can be a stimulant. I have tried to set myself in a bedtime rountine as in good health. Read a book, take a hot bath to consent to my mind and body know that it is bed time. My doctor also suggested to get my body on a clock. Where I wake up impossible to tell apart time every morning and try to go to bed at the same time every hours of darkness even if I am not sleepy. He said eventually your body will get on a schedule and realize it is time to settle down and stir to sleep. Well it has not worked. He put me on sleeping pill and to be honest it has worked wonders. I be aware of great when I wake up. I don't feel dopped up similar to you do on some nighttime medicines. But to let you know my doctor do noke to precribe sleeping pills for purely any reason. Try some of those things. Also he told me about something call Meletonin ( problay mispelled it) that your body produces that makes you sleepy. Try some of that and if you can't sleep still see your faimly doctor and tell him what you enjoy tried. An er doctor will only refer to your family doctor.
At best they'll give you a sedative or sleeping pill. If your key signs are good they'll prescribe the pill and send you home. Be prepared though to sit within the ER for many, many hours because it is not an emergency or even an urgent strength problem. I've tried prescription sleep meds but the best thing that works for me is benedryl or actifed, plus an established routine at bedtime. Remove distractions from your bedroom like the tv. Your bed is for sleeping and intimate moments beside your partner only. No reading, watching tv, etc.
Emergency rooms roughly don't treat insomnia. But there are sleep aids available OTC, or you can talk near a doctor or sleep specialist.
Good luck!
I hold insomnia and have went to the ER because it have been 4 nights near no sleep and they cant do anything for you you have to go see your doc, and ask him for sleeping pills.
Yeah, nothing at adjectives just send you a huge bill and inform you to see a regular doc. They might throw you a couple valiums or something but other than that its a waste of time.
Nothing, it's not an emergency.

First of all why are you going to the emergency room for insomnia? No issue how much you hate being awak, it is still NOT an emergency. That is abuse the system.
As to your question about "knockout" gas, I assume you are conversation about anesthetic gas. That renders you unconscious, it is not matching as natural sleep. And anyway no doctor would give that to you to oblige you sleep...it just isn't going to happen. Source(s): Health/Wellness writer and consultant
