13 weeks pregnant and own have a extremely bad grip of insomnia. Is this average?

I am 13 weeks pregnant and i can't sleep. Haven't been able to for weeks. I generally get tired around 9pm and sleep until 11 pm and then i am up for most the dark. Its starting to become a huge pain! I have a 7 year weak son so its not much of an option to sleep during the day. And even when he is rotten to school I can only sleep for 2 hours up to that time i have to get up and tramp around like a zombie. The doctor is letting me take Tylenol pm, I hold tried drinking warm milk, and i try nice soothing baths. I didn't have this problem near my son at all so i don't know if this is normal. And even if its not does anyone enjoy any ideas on how to get to sleep earlier i go crazy.

Have you tried taking benedryl that is what I own been doing. I have started to achieve that insomnia too. Im about 10 weeks. I cant seem to bring to sleep they other day my daughter went to bed around 11 and I stayed up until roughly speaking 3am. I was screwed when she got up. I considered necessary to sleep and she wanted to be up. I have be taking benedryl before bed because my husband told me that I have be waking up a lot to blow my trunk (allergies). So I take benedryl now he said that I hold been getting up randomly through out the dark. I dont know why. Then I dont get up until about 11 hours after I have went to bed. Now I have both me and my daughter so stale schedule its pathetic. It is in a minute 2:30am and we are both just now getting tired. Before to long we are going to be on my husband's rota ( he works overnights). He noticed me getting up throughout the night on his days stale and when he comes home for lunch.. I have chronic insomnia so I appropriate ambien + benydryl.

Just do your best, don't take naps, and progress to bed at the same time every night. Have a "sleep hygiene" ritual near no stimulating activity within an hour previously bed (no food, no milk), relaxign lighting and music, lavender aroma therapy. Get up at the same time every light of day, whether you've slept or not. You should regulate out within 2 weeks.
I was approaching that. I had a crossword book by the bed and would do them until I couldn't stay awake anymore. In the end I nod off sooner and sooner each time. Sometimes, you own so much in your head, especially when you're pregnant, that you can't settle. Try to tire your brain out so it can't dream up anymore! You could try reading a magazine or book...playing DS if you have one? I hope you get your rest and honourable luck!!
