Hello all! I'm about five weeks pregnant, and am falling asleep clearly, but then wake up at around 2am and toss and turn until it's time to wake up. Is this normal? Also, my OBGYN didn't rota me until I'm 8 weeks (for my first appointment). Is that normal, or too late? Shouldn't they do blood work or something rash on? Thanks so much, so new to this lol.

I insisted on an hasty appt because I have two previous miscarriages, but I think 8 weeks is roughly speaking normal. I am 8 weeks (today) and I wake up surrounded by the night, too. Seems like most night I see every hour. It stinks, but I think it's all of late part of being pregnant. Just be sure to ask your doctor just about it at your visit in three weeks.
Ok the not self able to sleep thing .. specifically very normal .. more than probable your just very worried roughly speaking being pregnant and all the stress that comes beside being pregnant.. If you have this problem more regularly than you would like then i would enunciate take Tylenol PM ...don't worry yes its protected.. when I went into false labor that's what they prescribed me to take if I have sleeping problems from the pain.. Im not saying embezzle it every day Just every once in awhile .. and as far as the doctor visit go .. every doctors office is different.. I didn't find out I be pregnant until I was 17 weeks and even then they still didn't start my prenatal visit until I was 2o weeks pregnant.. I would Just go ahead and whip some over the counter prenatal vitamins so you can start your pregnancy off healthy until the doctor prescribes you what vitamins he or she prefers,,
Yes, that's vastly common. I have pregnancy insominia too. My doctor told me to bring half a unisom. Now I sleep through the night.
Usually within is a blood test done as soon as you become pregnant to make sure your hormone level are normal. At week 8 you get an ultrasound to see how far along you are. Source(s): 29w
8 weeks is when your first appt is usually sceduled unless you are a large risk then they bring you in just about 6 weeks. Lucky you, im 12w today and im finally going to my first appt.
as for the insomnia, join the club, i look like im strung out right presently, im so tired. i have drk circles under my eyes and everything.
All normal. My insomnia comes and goes- and sometimes it channel I wake up at 5 and can't get wager on to sleep, or other times it means I am up till 3 waiting to fall asleep. First appointment is usually at 8 weeks- they'll do bloodwork later.
my doc didn't see me untill i be 10weeks. they'll do some blood work that day and ask you some questions.
what's occurring to you is normal though, I would sleep all morning and be up all night for the first few months of my pregnancy lol idk i guess it purely happens
The waking is totally run of the mill. Maybe at 2am you should try to take a warm tub to help relax yourself. Also, maybe you could try going to bed for a moment later at night and see if that help. Right now your mind is racing and you're worrying more or less later and what you're going to be doing with an infant.
As for the pop in with the doctor, 8 weeks is pretty routine for when they do the bloodwork and do your family history and probably a dating ultrasound.
most doctors wont see you until you are 8 weeks.and the sleeping thing is nothing to verbs about.it can be normal.i go through my ups and downs.everyone reacts different and goes through different things.sometimes it will be harder consequently others but you'll get through it.
