an i probably wont go to sleep today
Insomniac here too.I even hold meds for it and cant sleep. Gonna ask doc to schedule a sleep study and see how my brain functions when its nite nite time. I have done adjectives of the suggestions, no caffeine, no naps during day, use bed lone for sleep and intamacy, listen to relaxation music, take warm baths..etc...
I do know, it wont decimate you and eventually you will get some sleep. I usually go 3 days/nights near no sleep and then crash for like 4 hours. I give somebody a lift no illegal drugs and do not drink. I don't know what my problem is. I would definately tell your doctor and conceivably keep a sleep journal. Write respectively day about time you go to bed, how much slept, how you slept, ( Restfull or restless) and how you felt the next morning. If you haven't tried any of the suggestions down above give them a shot. Also, try going to sleep on a regular schedule even on weekends. Good Luck!! Source(s): Life

So you go to bed totally exhausted and stressed. Not good. Try taking a relaxing hip bath or reading a book. Do something to get your adrenaline down before trying to turn to sleep.
Exercise.
Exercise is absolutely wonderful, however, it gets your adrenaline flowing and make you energetic. Try exercising at least 5 hours back your bedtime and see if it will get rid of insomnia.
Stop with the nightcaps.
Alcohol induces sleep but with the sole purpose let you make it to the second stage and the smaller amount restful stage of sleep. This make you feel tired and exhausted during the daylight and often results in depression.
Watch what you put away and drink.
Chocolates, tea, sports drinks, coffee and some medicines are full of caffeine. Caffeine stimulates the central easily upset system making you more alert and giving you a boost of energy, hence insomnia. You want to be calm and relaxed beforehand going to bed so stay away from high energy foods and drinks. You'll hold a better chance of getting rid of insomnia.
