I have had acrylic nail for over 10 years and have been going to my gal for olden times 3. She is definitely not cheap! I get my nail filled every 2 weeks like clockwork. Two weeks ago, I developed green fungus below my thumb about 2 days after my fill. I go back for my usual fill and in a minute I have it under a different staple, this time it showed up about 3 days after my fill. I enjoy never had fungus before and my nail do not seem to be lifting (at least not so soon after a fill). Is it my manicurists bad habit? Should I continue going to her or find someone else? She says it is my imperfection because I pick at my nails, but I have braces, so picking is extremely difficult for me.

Why are people always rushed to blame the Nail tech or hairstylist?...It could be because of moisture under the nail, or if you own your hands in hose down alot..There are a few things that could result in fungus.
I would say it is they probably did not verbs there stuff,I would call them and ask why are you developing some fungus so soon,I dream up it was not clean properly, but not sure I never have fungus before.call them perchance they'll give you a free session.
it could very ably be moisture but never had it happen to me, bid them
I am sorry to hear that ,but the good news is you should be OK.
Fungus produce by water leakin between Arcrylic and real staple .
the only way hose can leakin is when you have lifting or the set too old and you use your appendage alot with water. Even if you dont own lifting when the set get old hose still can leakin .( there are 2 ways nail can be lift up by around cuticle and around egle ).
It may be your nail tech fault : she should do preventing by trademark off lifting ,take sour and get new set once contained by a while or get treatment at first start.
It may be your fault if she suggested you do so but you reject do it ( many people dream up can save money ) , or wait too long for fill .
In your case It seems close to you dont mind paying it ,and you have been wearing acrylic for awhile , so for sure not your criticize .
Now here you should do : take off adjectives acrylic first , sanetize your nails by soaking in achole for 15 munite , profile off all fungus .
leave your job your real nails near out acrylic on for sometimes ( naked without color ) you may put some fastener strengtener or nail fugus on .
wait until you see adjectives the green on your nail gone , and you can put arcrylic backby the side of. But please pay more attention next time.
I believe You are customer , you enjoy right to request any thing even if you want change your Manicurist .It is nice if you own happy times with her and stay beside her forever , but It is ok give others the try . many strictness manicurists out there more than happy to kindness you.
if you can not find the good one , It will be never too late coming support to her .
Good luck
