Is toning muscles contained by my stomach impossible to tell apart as building muscle?

In other words...i've been trying to lose weight the closing month and i've lost 10 lbs. however i've also been doing lots of crunches and stretches, if i'm toning my abs am i building muscle that weighs more because this final week i stopped losing weight?

toning is not the same as building,,,,building would suggest you have none to begin next to but toning would mean you are trying to get what muscle you do own back in shape..and yes muscle does cargo more than fat so you could very resourcefully stop loosing..stretching is a huge part of toning tho.good luck! and congrats on the 10 pounds already!! hold on to up the good work!!
you TONE muscle by doing little or no substance and very high reps and several sets.

you BUILD muscle by doing surrounding substance to high weight beside few reps and several sets.

and don't worry about cargo gain as long as you are exercising and keeping your eating habits clean... people who exercise should not rely on scales b/c muscle does weigh more than fat!

clutch me for example; i am 165 pounds but most people guess me to weigh around 135 or 140.

Firstly, CONGRATS on losing those really unwanted 10 lbs :). Way to go!
Coming to the point, toning muscle and building muscle are two amazingly different forms of muscular stress.
I can guarantee you that you are only toning muscle and not actually putting on muscle - ie. you are individual burning fat.
Resistance training is a relatively simple science. Now I can imagine that you enjoy put in your heart to lose those 10 lbs. You shocked your body and muscle with your work outs and lost adjectives that flab. So now you have reach the next level of fitness.
You give the impression of being to be giving your body the same level of stress as you did surrounded by the beginning, but now, your body have adapted itself to that level of stress, so it really will not respond. You need to increase your work out stress to bring more, because now, you are already on level 2. Which is also a wonderful sign. You're just getting better.
Just keep increasing your stress level hereafter, until you reach your desired body form - then on, you could argue that stress level to keep your shape. Good luck, you're doing great!
