Can a woman still run through menopause psychologically?

My mother had a hysterectomy in her belatedly 30s. She's now in her hasty 50s and has mood swings more than usual and sudden tears (amongst other things). After her hysterectomy she had the mood swings and her doctor said that she be going through a "sudden menopause", but now being contained by her early 50s and with similar symptoms to past could it mean she's going through it psychologically?
Answers:
There is a very KEY query.. does she still have her ovaries? Which, if she entered a 'sudden menopause' when she have her hysterectomy,. that tells me that she does not still have her ovaries.

Menopause is still not terribly well understood .. I imply good Lord they have one and only been accepting for 25 years that we have PMS? I bet the body does walk through some changes, even if we don't have 'our equipment' anymore..

I would hold her get her hormones checked.. just to fashion sure nothing funny is going and also, her thyroid.. as that can make moods and stuff tough.

Please report to her she's ok, but she should be seen and have the docs explain why she's outlook this way. Thyroid is my hunch! Source(s): Former Medical Assistant
Yes, if they left contained by her ovaries.
