Mine come back fine and thin. I be advised to shave it all past its sell-by date and start again. Great advice, my hair is immediately thicker than it has ever been. Also I notice that the colour was more consistent now it have grown back. My district nurse gave me the counsel to cut all the new growth rear legs. Apparently if you do this the new growth is stronger.
GREETINGS, congrats for finishing chemo. I'm a cancer survivor too. I still have tight hair from the experience but I have thyroid issues too so not sure what's going on. I wore baseball cap, wigs, and got what I have in hair cut short similar to I intended it to look that way, at least it be cooler in summer. Your own hair should come posterior thicker and you will feel better about it.
A thickening or volumnizing mousse works well. The polite thing to know is that within a few months you should start notice your hair becoming thicker again. That first new growth is resembling what you would expect to find with a new child but it does get better. Source(s): Breast Cancer Survivor
my father contained by laws hair come back thicker and really wavy after his first chemo
it comes within that way at first ,but as it grows ,it thickens up for you
Just finished months of aggressive chemo and then a bone marrow transplant contained by Feb. My hair is growing back too. Yippee for us!! :0) Mine come in thin at first so I wore a knit hat...my kids laughed at the horsehair cause it just wasn't "Me". I be glad, that thing was hot and itchy! I after went to a crocheted hat when it get hotter out. Now I have enough to not wear a helmet because you can't see my scalp anymore but it is VERY short. I have been asked why I cut it that short, ha! I maintain it trimmed on my neck and around my ears so it looks freshly cut... with my husband's beard trimmer. Works similar to a charm. Mine is now starting to curl, which it never did before chemo. Aha...finally a cancer bonus except a handicap sticker for my car...A FREE perm! Congrats on making it through that grueling time! Source(s): Living it with you :0) If you want a cotton crocheted head covering I can make you one...just email me.
