Recently I saw two girls talking to each other while walking into a bathroom, respectively took a stall and 'went' while still talking! I was shocked. I never walk to the bathroom with a group of girls and I certainly don't do what those two girls did. How can they be so at take the edge off in that way when I can't even 'go' when someone is contained by the bathroom at the same time as I am?
(All happened at a college dorm. Which make my paruresis much worse than usual.)

Heh, I thought this be usually a "guy problem". I hate when there other guys urinating right subsequent to me and there I am just standing near. It's even worse if it's a crowded restroom and someone's waiting for me.
I have learned one trick that help me get my mind off of my paranoia to allow my body to do it's mission: I think about what my plans are. I usually ask myself, "Okay what do I hold to do today?" And while I'm thinking, "Gotta do laundry... return those videos..." my bladder relaxes and does what it's supposed to.
I've always thought it was thoughtful of weird, too. I think it's a coy thing, even though they don't act close to it. It would be weird to me to walk surrounded by a bathroom the same time with someone and NOT receive small talk. Complete silence would be worse, you'd only hear the other ancestors peeing. Girls are weird, though. They pretend they don't poop, where guys practically show respectively other. Guys don't talk when they pee, I guess because they're standing there near their willies out.
