I am having my gall bladder removed tomorrow. It's the laproscopic one where on earth they make the 4 little holes in you stomach. What be it like getting the anesthesia and then wake up from the anesthesia? Anyway, how badly does it hurt afterwards? What pain killer were you on and for how many days?
I work contained by a pharmacy and the pharmacist already gave me an idea on the painkillers, but I'd resembling some more details.

It will hurt pretty bad the first couple of days. After that it will get better every light of day. Just take it easy and lug the pain meds on time. Don't agree to the pain get out of appendage or it is harder to get it back lower than control. As far as going to sleep, you'll be talking and the next item you know your in recovery. No Worries! In the operating room they give me somethng in my IV to relax me and then the anesthesia i dont remember anything but wake u groggy.
I wasnt in too much pain but any guidance i can give u is to get up and amble around sometimes air gets trapped and to be precise what hurt me the most. They gave me a plastic breathing machine that help significantly its called a Hudson RCI ask them for one, and try to pass gas.
I be a little sore, but I felt wager on to normal in 3 days. I really didnt even stipulation pain killers.He prescribed me percocet, and prilosec ot. Out of 30 pills i merely took 3 of them. You could even just take advil simply ok it with the doc.
Im eating majority too
General anesthesia is easy. You get an iv, the anesthesiologist injects drugs (midazolam, propofol, fentanyl, a neuromuscular blocker and an inhalation anesthetic, perchance sevoflurane or desflurane, for a typical general anesthetic) and you drift off to sleep.
Time stops.
After you are asleep, you go and get a breathing tube inserted, and surgery begins. At the end, the gas is turned stale and you breathe pure oxygen until you wake up. as you are waking up, the breathing tube is removed. You jump to recovery room.
Pain is a very subjective entity. If you hurt, the nurses in the recovery room will afford you more pain medication. Lots of people stir home within hours of the surgery; some stay overnight. You take oral torment meds at home.
