i recently went to the doctor for a leak bladder. he said i my have an infection, and he put me on some meds. now its complex for me to urinate at all. i have the urge, but when i try, it won't come out, and when i go and get up i have the urge again. could this be a side effect of the meds., or something more serious.
Answers:
You have 'urge incontinence".mostly due to fortitude and muscle spasm problems. I doubt this is due to side effect of the medications.which is probably antibiotics.
* Just thought of something...you may also have something call 'transient incontinence' which can be due to infection itself or medications(unlikely to be antibiotics though). Transient incontinence usually subsides when the infection is cured or the medication is stopped...hope I didn't confuse you more!
