Answers:
I conjecture that kidneys and ureters are free from bacteria unless infection (glumerulonephritis or pyelonephritis) is found. E.coli and P.vulgaris are mostly responsible for urinary tract infections.
Virulent strains of E. coli can cause gastroenteritis, urinary tract infections, and neonatal meningitis. In rarer cases, virulent strains are also responsible for haemolytic-uremic syndrome (HUS), peritonitis, mastitis, septicemia and Gram-negative pneumonia
Proteus vulgaris is a rod-shaped, Gram cynical bacterium that inhabits the intestinal tracts of humans and animals. It can be found in soil, water and faecal concern. It is grouped with the enterobacteriaceae and is an opportunistic pathogen of humans. It is known to create urinary tract infections and wound infections.
