So about 2 months ago, I returned from Costa Rica/Nicaragua and started getting really bad stomach ache, and nausea. I went to the ER because it was getting so discouraging, and they diagnosed me as having travelers diarrhea. Now 2 months later, it returned merely much worse. I went to the ER twice, have have 5 tests done (endoscopy, bile duct tests, CT scan..etc), and everything is neg. My surgeon told me that I needed to have my gall bladder removed, and that it sounded to him that I own biliary disease. The thing that is grotesque is most people with this disease are womanly, and 40 (the 4 F's: female, fat, 40, fertility). I'm a 24yr ripened athletic male! My question is:
Are at hand any guys out there that have have there Gall bladders removed?
Did you have similar symptoms?
Are you on any special diet? How is natural life without your GB?
Thanks for your time, hearing from others really help me through this.

Yes, men need their gallbladders out too! If you still aren't sure you could ask for a gallbladder ultrasound, ercp/mrcp and hida scan.
Try a low fat diet within the meantime.
My husband had small symptoms first slight pain contained by the gallbladder area this went on for going on for six months ( no insurance ) And he was a over the road trucker .
Then the real strain started we were about 2,000 miles from home and head to a delivery . We got to a hospital and after blood tryout and the ultra sound they told him that he needed his gallbladder out ASP . Well the pain stayed away for a couple of months and consequently
We finally got some insurance and then he have a real bad attack , get to hospital and he had the surgery . Didn't cause any foremost problems for him but everybody is different .
He is not on any special diet . But we were told that greasy food will set the gallbladder off . He asked for eggs fried contained by bacon grease and buttered toast , so I made it for him . Not a single pain afterwords .
Had surgery in morning and home within the afternoon.
Well I'm not a guy but I will tell you just about my experience and what I know. I suffered with my gall bladder for 2 years in the past it was finally decided that it should come out. In that time I be seen by 3 doctors, I had adjectives of the tests done for diagnosing the condition and all of them come out normal. I was 25 when my symptoms first started and I be 27 when it was finally removed. Mine had gotten to the point that I be septic from the infection and it was about to rupture when they took me into surgery. At first you own to watch what you eat, ie. greasy foods, etc but in 6 weeks I was eating majority again. Certain foods will cause my tummy to act up but bar that I felt an immediate nouns after experiencing pain for so long. What you are reading is the most common reason for your gall bladder to be removed it's not the only ones though. I've agreed several guys who had the same issue. I hope this help.
