Hello, first off...I'm not exactly experienced in the makeup world. I'm a short time ago now getting interested and a little educated w/ make up-thanks to Youtube makeup tutorials.
Anyways, I've been TRYING to experiment w/ makeup for the completely first time. I have these dark acne scar that I want to get rid of; (they're all over my cheeks, chin, and forehead).
I've tried mineral makeup products[that are targeted to African-American women) but I finished up looking like a dry, reddish/grayish corpse.
I just just now tried Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation [Oily/Combination] in Caramel #400, but it gave me a ashy, orange-like color that just SAT on my face similar to a mask and didn't blend. I think the color be too light for my complexion & too sheer.
I just don't know what to do. I want to hold make-up that, first off, doesn't kind me look like I have makeup on, have a variety of colors to choose from for African-American women, great for acne prone skin, hides blemishes/uneven skin tone/, have full--all day coverage (won't smudge, transfer, is marine proof), and the price is reasonable.
I mean...Is that too much to ask?? lol
Bottom-line request for information: What makeup line has a moderate/full coverage foundation, concealer (cream/liquid), give a natural finish, that is okay for acne prone skin, hide imperfections, evens skin complexion, is great for ALL skin tones/types, is long lasting/won't smudge, and won't break my bank narrative? Is it possible or will I have to just come through having to walk around w/ blemishes on my frontage forever?
ShEesh I know that was a lot lol So appreciation in advance.

MAC isnt the best bc it tend to break people out
Bobbi Brown, Make Up For Ever HD foundation, and Laura Mercier are a bit expensive but there definately great and hold a wide selection of skin shades.
Your skin is so pretty!
Anyways, since you own darker skin you have two skin tones. The middle of your facade (your nose, forehead, cheeks) are lighter than the outside of your face (jaw, chin, rest of forehead). So you'll probably obligation two foundations to blend just the right way. I suggest using gooey (mineral/powder can make darker skinned women look ashy) and enjoy them match a foundation for you. Fashion Fair, Bobbi Brown, and MAC would be your best bet. Just make sure you check the makeup contained by natural light outside beside a mirror. The makeup lights in department stores are dim and amberish so everything will look good on you, so newly make sure you check outside and you'll probably be able to find something right.
I can't recommend a specific foundation. Maybe Mac Studio Fix (though some people say it breaks them out).and for Fashion Fair I can't remember the foundation my mom used to use...I'm sorry I can't recommend anything too specific.
